Iceland Writers Retreat co-founder Eliza Reid will be in Boston soon talking about Iceland’s writing and storytelling traditions and why the country is such a popular destination for those with creative minds. Eliza’s talk is part of the upcoming Taste of Iceland event (March 16-20) where guests can also indulge in some tasty Icelandic food and enjoy music from Icelandic bands Mammút and Fufanu. Siggi Helga, an Icelandic chef from Reykjavík’s popular restaurant Grillið, will be there preparing some tasty Icelandic dishes and champion cocktail maker Kári Sigurðsson will be mixing it up with some exclusive concoctions made from Icelandic vodka and aquavit. In addition, there will be a special screening prepared by Iceland’s Stockfish film festival highlighting some of Iceland’s up-and-coming filmmakers. Read more about the Taste of Iceland events here.
