Lilja Nótt Þórarinsdóttir
LILJA NÓTT ÞÓRARINSDÓTTIR is an established actress, writer and producer working in theatre, film and television. Her work includes films such as 101 RVK, Eleven Men Out and Reykjavík-Rotterdam amongst others. On TV she is best known for her role as María in Trapped, a BPO surgeon in the Netflix series Sense8, Klara in Ástríður and Sólveig in Case. Since graduating from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts, she has also starred in various plays at the National Theatre of Iceland. Currently, she stars in The Icelandic Sagas — The Greatest Hits at the Harpa Concert Hall: a show, she co-wrote and produced, which has received global recognition. The show will soon be going on a tour of Europe.
Other upcoming projects include Vala – an international period series in development, Shadows – a feature film in development based on the book by Icelandic horror author Stefán Máni and The Herule Theory – a documentary in development based on the book the origins of Icelanders. Other projects, both on screen and on stage, to be announced.
